We’re thrilled to re-establish and expand our art enrichment programs in the San Diego area, bringing over 20 years of expertise in art enrichment to vibrant, welcoming spaces throughout the community!

Partnering with local schools and Parks & Recreation departments, we provide dynamic, hands-on art programs led by passionate instructors. Each session invites kids to dive into a world of creativity, exploring mediums like painting, beading, clay, textiles, and more in a fun and inspiring environment.

Our Camps & Classes Stand Out

My seven-year-old has a deep passion for art, with many of his own works proudly displayed in his room. He looks forward to attending this camp every year because of the variety of creative activities offered. From origami and jewelry making to clay sculpting, painting, and mixed media, there's always something new to explore. He eagerly heads to camp every morning, excited about the day's artistic adventures. The teachers at Dragonfly Designs are exceptional. They quickly connect with the students and cultivate a supportive environment. This nurturing approach has made summer camp a highlight for my son two years in a row.

My daughter (age 9) has been taking Dragonfly Design's after school jewelry making class all year. She and her friends absolutely love it! It is her favorite afterschool activity by far and the jewelry she has learned to make is outstanding. I highly recommend DD's after school classes as well as their birthday parties (we did one of those too and it was great!).

BEST CAMP EVER!!!!! I mean, wow! I had such a fun time and the place is so cozy and nice. It looks really unassuming because it is in a residential neighborhood but it is a great business and their camp is so fun!!! They even do parties at your house! Awesome place.

My daughters, ages 6 and 8, participated in a week long summer camp, and loved every minute of it. They said it was their favorite camp ever! The instructor is great, and the girls brought home memorable art pieces and jewelry. Thank you Stacee!

Where are your Summer Camps offered?

Our wonderful Summer Camps are offered through several Bay Area schools and Parks and Recreation departments. Please contact Stacee at stacee@dragonflyfun.com and include your general location to be placed on the proper distribution lists!

What is the age range for Summer Camp?

Each camp will have a prescribed age range. You can find this information when registering.

What are the hours for Summer Camp?

A full-day Summer Camp runs from 9am-3pm. Please check your specific camp to confirm.

What is a typical day of Summer Camp like?

Here is a sample schedule:

9-9:15am: Welcome & Friendship building games
9:15-10am: Stretching and movement games
10-10:20am: Healthy snacks and classroom agreements
10:20-11:30am: Art projects
11:30am-12:30pm: Lunch and outdoor play
12:30-2:30pm: Art projects
2:30-3pm: Cleanup time

What does my child need to bring and wear?

Please dress your child in comfortable clothes that are appropriate for movement and “making a creative mess.” We also recommend layers, as the weather in the Bay Area can be unpredictable.
Pack a bagged lunch, healthy snacks, and a water bottle to camp each day. Note: Camp is a NUT-FREE ZONE.
Bring sunscreen, hats, and jackets for outdoor play.
Label any prescription medication and provide clear instructions to staff.
Label all removable, personal belongings.

Who teaches at your Summer Camps?

Our Lead Camp counselors are permanent year-round employees of Dragonfly Designs who teach in our afterschool enrichment programs and host art parties. Our wonderful staff are college educated and comply with California standards for working on school campuses including TB testing and background checks through the DOJ and FBI.

What is the student-teacher ratio?

Our student-teacher ratio does not exceed 12:1 and is often much lower.

What are your cancellation and change policies?

When registering through a local school or Parks and Recreation department, please contact them to cancel or change your plans.

For any program offered through Dragonfly Designs, we do not issue cash refunds, as we purchase supplies and procure staff in advance. We appreciate your cooperation!

In the event of cancellation, we will refund your payment, less the camp cancellation fee of 20% of the total cost, as a studio credit if we are notified in writing 30 days prior to the start of camp. Please email stacee@dragonflyfun.com to cancel.
Credits can be used on any Dragonfly Designs service or product and are transferable to other accounts.

Need to change your camp or class date?

Transfers to a new week of camp will incur a $15 administrative change fee.
Change requests for other program dates must be emailed to stacee@dragonflyfun.com at least 7 days prior to your original program’s start date.
All changes are subject to availability.
Early bird special rates are forfeited upon request to transfer.

Other Policies:

We do not prorate or refund tuition for days missed due to illness or injury.
Any returned checks or payments incur a $20 fee.
In the rare case Dragonfly Designs has to cancel a camp, we will schedule a make-up opportunity.
