Did you miss our Bay Area summer art camp open house last month? Don’t worry — there’s still plenty of fun headed your way! We threw open our doors for a summer camp preview. It was packed with creativity, color, and a whole lot of Bay Area family energy. Here’s a taste of what went down.

Student Art on Display
First, the showcase. The space was filled with original artwork from our 2025–2026 students, including jewelry, clay creations, shrinky-dinks, and more. It was a beautiful reminder of how much our young artists have grown this year. We also set up camp preview displays so families could get an up-close look at our upcoming Bay Area summer art camp themes. Think vibrant tie-dye creations from our Groovy Dye Lab camp and whimsical succulent fairy homes from our magical Fairy Garden camp. Spoiler: the fairy homes were a huge hit.

Get Hands-On: Interactive Art Stations
Families didn’t just browse; they dove right in. Art stations featured spin art painting and our signature Bead Bar, where kids designed their own mixed bead bracelets to take home (a few parents joined in too). We also raffled off DIY art kits so families could bring the Dragonfly Designs magic home. Plus, one very lucky winner walked away with a free Dragonfly Designs birthday party!

Thank You for Coming Out
A huge thank-you to every family who spent part of their day with us to kick off our Bay Area summer art camp offerings. Seeing your kids light up at the art stations made the whole day worth it. We also loved watching more than a few parents sneak onto the Bead Bar. You are the heart of everything we do.
And it sounds like the feeling was mutual! We were so touched when attendee Jackie Selby shared this completely unprompted review:
“I felt compelled to share this. We went to the Dragonfly open house today and I was so surprised at how much fun I had. The kids made bracelets and I even made one for myself. They do birthday parties and summer camps… I was just blown away by how sweet and patient they were with my kids.”
— Jackie Selby, Open House Attendee

That kind of feedback is what keeps us going. We couldn’t be more grateful.
Join Us at One of Our Summer Art Camps
At Dragonfly Designs, we believe art is about more than making something pretty. According to Edutopia, creative activities help children build confidence, reduce stress, and develop social skills — and we see that come to life every single day. That’s why we design every experience to give kids the freedom to explore, create, and connect.
The good news? You don’t have to wait until next year. Our Bay Area summer art camps are coming to San Carlos, and spots are filling up fast. Whether your child is a seasoned artist or a first-timer, there’s a camp designed just for them. Click here to explore our camp lineup and register today!
