Job Description
Dragonfly Designs is currently seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Part-Time Kids Yoga Instructors to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for yoga, working with children, and creating a warm, welcoming environment. The position involves leading Yoga sessions during our Summer Camps and potentially teaching afterschool classes in the fall.
Summer Camp Responsibilities:
- Welcome Circle Leadership: Conduct a Welcome Circle each Monday from 8:45 – 9:45 AM at various locations around the Bay Area.
- Engagement: Create a warm and welcoming environment for children ages 5 – 10 years old, using story, movement, and play to build trust and friendships.
- Support: Assist camp counselors by engaging children, allowing counselors to set up the classroom and check-in families smoothly.
- Additional Opportunities: Participate in teaching art or yoga at camps, classes, parties, and events for candidates with artistic interests.

- July 15 – Monday
- Burlingame Parks and Rec: 8:45 – 9:45 AM
- SM Parks & Rec: 8:45 – 9:45 AM
- July 22 – Monday
- Burlingame Parks and Rec: 8:45 – 9:45 AM
- RWC Parks & Rec: 8:45 – 9:45 AM
- July 29 – Monday
- Burlingame Parks and Rec: 8:45 – 9:45 AM
- RWC Parks & Rec: 8:45 – 9:45 AM
- August 5 – Monday
- Burlingame Parks and Rec: 8:45 – 9:45 AM
- RWC Parks & Rec: 8:45 – 9:45 AM
Fall Afterschool Classes Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Instruct Kids Yoga, Dance/Movement, Jewelry Making, or other Mixed Media arts at Bay Area schools.
- Availability: Teach afterschool classes approximately from 3:00 – 4:45 PM.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience teaching yoga to children is preferred.
- Skills: Ability to create a warm, engaging, and inclusive environment. Strong classroom management skills.
- Attributes: Enthusiastic, compassionate, and energetic with excellent communication skills.
- Additional Skills: Artistic skills are a plus, especially in jewelry making or mixed media arts.
Compensation:
- Pay: $40 per hour for Yoga > other jobs have their own corresponding pay
